Bummer!!!!!!

Well , we had a fantastic buying trip for the shops.... We shopped and shopped thought about items and bought things right on the spot. WE ARE READY TO COME HOME AND WHAT HAPPENS, ITS POURING RAIN AND THE SKIES ARE SO GRAY RIGHT WHEN IT IS TIME TO COME HOME. We are stuck at the airport for who knows how long and WE WANT TO GO HOME. We are so tired and just are not in the MOOD to sit at the airport. Have done enough people watching, there isn't a plane in sight so we will be just sitting some more. The next best thing to do BLOG!!!!!!!

I will be posting pictures of some of the things we did for the last 5 days. A few teasers of new merchandise, some coming now and some of it will be available after the first of the new year.

Cottage Garden I will again have fabulous things from a couple of our top selling companies. Easter is looking mighty cute for next year. We will have those darling chicks again that sold out in a couple of days. Bunnies galore and for all our sheep lovers I have found some great ones.

CG2 will be stocked with some fun new jewelry. As well as a few new pieces of clothing. Found some fun new purses and flat wallets.

MY BRAIN IS POOPED SO CAN'T PINPOINT EVERYTHING, JUST BECAUSE I THINK EVERYTHING IS A BLURRRRR........

We feel like we just landed and before you know it we are back at the airport.
Well I guess I babbled long enough. Guess I will go back to people watching and there are some reall interesting people here in Texas....

Off We Go !!!!!

Our boots are packed and Pauline and I are off to Dallas, Texas to start our summer buying trips. Can't wait to see what we find to tempt all the Cottage Garden junkies. We will be shopping till we drop and we do drop.....
We will be back next week with lots and lots of goodies.
But in the meantime our store hours while we are gone will be:

Friday and Saturday June 25th and 26th OPEN********
Monday and Tuesday June 28th and 29th Closed
Wednesday we will be back and open for business.

New Cottage Garden Girl!!!!

A new little being arrived in our world... Her name is Taelyn Joy Janssen. I am a very proud grandma of this sweet little one.
She was 6lbs. 1oz. and 20 inches long. My beautiful daughter Angie gave birth to her on Saturday morning..... Needless to say it has been quite a weekend.
The following pictures are her big brothers taking turns holding her.

Another wonderful thing also happened this weekend, our son Jeff graduated from Wyotech in Sacramento with top honors....... Congrats !!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Heather!

Boy it just seems all we do is party at the Cottage Garden. This time it was to honor Heather who works at CG#2 on Saturdays. It was her birthday and all us Cottage Garden girls took her to her favorite little hideaway restaurant in central Phoenix called Local Breeze.

What a great photo op of us girls. Stuffed with great food........

We just chatted and chatted the evening away....

This is the outside seating at Local Breeze. A great place to just have a glass of wine and good food and chat with some good friends.

The misters were going and it was quite comfortable out there.

Just had to show you the bathrooms. This was a mosaic in the men's bathroom just above the you know what. Very cool .......

The women's bathroom was very tres chic.

The handle in the bathroom stall was a ceramic duck....

We all had a blast at Heather's little get together and we wish Heather a Happy Birthday and many more..........

Tomorrow is our Friday Night Lights. We will be open until 9pm. and are celebrating Glendales 100 birthday. All the participating shop owners will be dressing up as their favorite starlets. Connie and moi will be dressing up as Marilyn Monroe. There is also a car show, vintage fashion show and movies in the park. Hope to see you then!!!!!!

Dad's Day is just a week away and we have put together a few ideas for dear old Dad at the #1 shop......

The most fun thing for Dad is this clipboard and pen made from old computer motherboards. Wonderful idea for the computer nuts out there....

We also have an array of nuts and bolts animals made in Kentucky. The praying mantis is just so darn cute. And a pen can rest right on his legs.

There are also little journal books that have a motherboard as the cover. Another really cool idea are these little boxes made from old keyboards. Every dad's desk needs one.

New Babies at the Shop

Well as if we don't have enough kitties in Catlin Court, these little cuties came out from under the house at #1 shop. Their mother is all grey and these little siamese came from her. They were spitting and hissing at me for a few days and now they think I'm mom. They purr and rub around my legs. So stinking cute!!!!!!!!
