New local artist!

We have a new local artist at Cottage Garden II, named Ashley. She uses vintage necklaces and embellishes them with crowns, wings and birds. We have been doing so great with her things.

Her bracelets are just so special too.

She uses old keys in a lot of her jewelry.

This bracelet is such a cool piece. The background was from an old label of a liquor bottle, then she encrusted it with a wing, the bracelet is big black faceted beads.

Love this necklace with old prisms and a cross charm that she made.

A wing and an old key again, a great combination.....

Love this necklace, of course because I love the bird theme. This is a regal bird with its crown atop its head.

Another thing Ashley does are these coursages out of old fabrics and adds an old rhinetstone earring or button or brooche in the middle and then she puts a big clip on the back so you can wear on your sweater or in your hair. These have been flying out of the shop. I do need to call her to make more. They really add a nice touch to the outfit........
We are finally close to French Market day, March 6th, hope you all can make it out for our event. We will be having lots of fabulous things happening that day. Our vendors are set and include, blinged out bra straps, oh so frenchy, tutus for the little girls, flower headbands, a baker who is making french baugettes, sourdough bread, Shelleys desserts with her adorable cupcakes, lemon squares and more, handpainted silk scarves, and jewelry, and a couple of gals who will be bringing their vintage finds. The French mime will be walking around and entertaining everyone.
On Tuesday morning between 9am and 10am we will be on channel 10 and in the afternoon between 4:30pm and 5:00pm we will be on channel 12 talking about our Paris in Spring day. Tune in if you get a chance.
SEE YOU ALL SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ooh La La...........

Easter Bunny has arrived!

We have busily been getting Easter out at #1 shop. The bunnies and chicks have arrived and are ready to go to a new home.......

Our tin tub on the porch is filled with egg and bunny pokes.

This is so adorable. It is bunny parts to put in your flower pots. There is a large bunny and a small bunny. Every flower pot needs one.

Our little chicks are cropping up everywhere. They are just so lifelike and come in 5 different poses......

The lambies are here and they are of course from Round Top Collection. Too too cute!!!!
The chicks have nestled into this large metal basket in the center of all the Easter.

These little bunnies look so cute with the coil carrots.
Here is just a little of Easter, I will post more pics in the weeks to come. Remember Easter is April 4th!!!!!!!

Morgan's Birthday Party!

On Saturday, Morgan celebrated her 18th birthday with a party at the Cottage Garden II. Unfortunately it rained earlier in the day and the party which was going to be set up in the gazebo was instead on our front porch. It was just as lovely. Monica, Morgan's Mom and a cottage garden junkie created such a sweet little party for Morgan.

Morgan in the middle with sister Chelsea and mom Monica.

Morgan wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme, complete with cards and lots of clocks. The table setting was all vintage china and glassware.

Morgan did all the baking for her own party. It was all so cute!!!!

A birthday kiss from Mom.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORGAN.........

Dancing in the Garden

Another great company we found on our Atlanta buying trip is called Prairie Dance from South Dakota. They are like little children dancing in the garden, they just make you smile. And of course one of them made to my home and she is right outside my front door. Hope you all can come and see them dancing at Cottage #1.

They are made of metal so they will withstand our hot weather........

New at Cottage #1

We were so excited to find this gal when we went to Atlanta for the gift show. Her name is Sherre and she designed this tiles and pictures to create great words for your walls. She had her booth done with all chalkboard walls so of course we had to recreate it. LOVE the way it turned out. Since Valentine's Day is just a few days away we decided to give our new wall a romantic theme. The gals that have seen the wall are loving it.... You can either attached to the wall with a rod and knobs or just with a ribbon tie and a nail or a hook. Either way they look really cool.......

Check post below for French Market and Sidewalk Cafe news...... We are adding more vendors to our Market in the side yard at #2. We will keep you updated from time to time.
