New Stuff

Debbie came in Saturday to get her wonderful turqoise heart necklace from Amy a local artist from Sierra Vista. She was just brimming with joy she loved the necklace so much. Enjoy Debbie!
We so love these new bottles with prism tops. They are beautiful and so affordable. They are featured in the October issue of Romantic Homes. They look lovely by themselves or you can fill them with some pearls, buttons or even german glitter glass. They are so shabby chic cottage!

Lori another local artist just brought in a great selection of her funky jewelry made from old buttons. They really put the wow in an outfit.

This necklace has so many fun colors, it can go with alot of different outfits.

Her bracelets are just so much fun. It is really hard to choose.

The rings are just too much too! She uses such great colors. Hope you can make it in soon. Also Lori the artist will be doing a trunk show at Front Porch Festival on October 17th. You can meet her and see who is behind all this wonderful creative jewelry. She will be at Cottage Garden II.

Our front yards in Catlin Court

Our witchy woman greets you before you enter into cottage garden II.

An urn planter, some tulling, leaves yanked down from a weeping willow tree and metal pumpkins and you have a great display for in front of the house.

Our Front Porch festival is coming up in a few weeks, October 17th. It is the kick off of our events that will be happening in the next few months. It is just plain fun to come shop, eat and listen to the entertainment on some of the porches.

As I was walking between the shops on Saturday, I had to photograph the ghost children playing ring around the rosie in front of the Country Maiden. Located next door to the Cottage Garden I. It is so much fun to see how everyone has decorated their yards.

Located behind the Country Maiden is Papa Ed's ice cream parlor. This is just a great place to sit and enjoy something cold before continuing on to do more shopping

Linda is waiting for you.

Halloween is getting closer!

Today glittery skulls and spiders arrived to add a little glouishness (is that a word) to the cottage garden.

We went to the local pumpkin patch (Lynnes house) to purchase more of her wonderful handmade pumpkins. We got a large selection of many different fabrics from wools to silky velvet and many color combinations. Just stop in and we can help you with putting a grouping together.

I did this arrangement right outside the front door of the shop. It's filled with fall leaves, bittersweet, nests, flowers and all made from silk so they will last for a long time.

Meet Leslie

On Friday a new local dress designer came to see us with her wonderful outfits. She showed us her collection for Spring 2010. They were so feminine and flattering. I know all the cottage garden gals will absolutely fall in love with her clothes. Leslie will be doing a fashion show at our Christmas Tea on November 14th, so stay tuned for details.

The outfit Leslie was wearing was a flowy top and pants with a darling apron top over it. It was one of my favorites. She also puts the apron over a long dress. It was awfully cute.

One of her dresses she named Lucy. Actually all her outfits have names. We are very excited to work with Leslie and wish her all the best with her new company.

We just got in more of the Pure West purses made from vintage textiles from France. They remind me so much of Magnolia Pearl. She is working on some pillows for me. They should be here in another month or so. Can't wait to see what she comes up with, I know they will be just as beautiful as her purses.

Halloween and Flowers

I finally decorated a little outside today with halloween pumpkin pokes. The morning was pretty nice for awhile.
The roundtop metal pumpkin pokes are so much fun to embellish your garden.

Even an old metal bathtub is just too cute filled with all these roundtop pokes.

We also just got in these adorable mini myrtle topiarys. They are so much fun to nestle here and there.

Wonderful flowers have arrived and I tucked them in a nightstand drawer. They look so real, you have to touch them.

The tulips are a lucious deep rose color. They are just right in this little jar.

Yellow ranouculus just brighten up a halloween display.

Orange ranouculus nestled in a green tin.

The little topiarys all in a row on a shelf above the door.
Everything is now available at the Cottage Garden!

Bedroom Makeover

Hubby and son went off to Magic Mountain this past week and I stayed home and worked on the spare bedroom which was basically a store room after son moved out. It was a blast putting the room together but it is still a work in progress. A few more pieces of furniture, a curtain for french door, and a little more primping. Alot of the things I used came from Cottage Garden and vintage pieces were finds from here and there.

This is a cozy sitting area just needs a comfy chair, but oh the thrill of the hunt it is out there just waiting for me to find it.

When we were in California I found the wonderful green shelf which was hand made by a gentleman, forgot his name. It bareful fit in the car. It is about 6.6 feet long. I was able to load it up with lots of treasures.

The bird silhouette is from the shop. They are so much fun and easy to do.

The wall birdcage is another fun accessory for the wall. And again the wall art words add so much. The picture is from an american artist that we carried in the shop a few years ago. I love her prints but she is no longer in business.

The basket of pink geraniums are tucked in a small wall by the built in drawers and closet. The knobs are still needed to be put on.

Another wall art from the shop.

The wicker suitcase is a great little prop to hold a decopagued suitcase and a sweet little vintage milkglass lamp.

Inside this birdhouse cupboard I tucked little garden treasures.

This cupboard was made by a gal named Lizzie, she is so talented. And it nestled in the corner just perfect.

The little table was tucked in a corner with a topiary, nest and another vintage lamp.

Have to do something about the unsightly cord.

This a Christie Repasy print I got in California and it fit perfectly in a frame that I already had. Yea!

An old bench at the foot of the bed with some more sweet things from the Cottage Garden.

Rocky enjoying the bed. He was very cozy and wouldn't move.

This wonderful gate with basket was at the shop for the longest time and didn't get purchased so off it went to my house and fit perfectly on the wall with a shelf just below.
I will post more pics as I add to the room. Hope it gave you some ideas for when you have the urge to do some decorating. We are always there to help with ideas for you.
