And may the New Year be filled with many blessings.....

And now for the big news !!!!!! We were chosen by Sunset magazine to be part of their Christmas issue for December 2010. We had our photo shoot a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait to see it but we have to wait a whole year. Keep your fingers and toes crossed that we get the cover. They loved the front of #1 shop and took a lot of photos out there........

Merry Christmas From My House

I had requests from many of my customers to see what I did to decorate my house for Christmas. So here it is.......Please come inside.

Since I live in an historic district in central Phoenix, it is so easy to create wonderful vignettes, both inside and out.

Hubby found this wonderful bird's nest while walking the dogs in Encanto Park. I placed three Christmas balls in there and propped it in front of a poinsettia plant.

These are metal boxes from Round Top. They look so cool with miniature round candles all around them.

A Wendy Addison bird inside a vintage birdcage.

Instead of ornaments I put old prisms on this sweet tree.

A chenille tree is nestled in a pedestal dish, with ornaments and prisms around the bottom.

I love snowmen and they are everywhere in my decorating....... These little guys are all around my dining room table.

On an old pie safe are angels and of course snowmen...

An overview of the dining room just filled with so many Christmasy goodies......

At the top of the stairs (you guessed it) more snowmen.

A sweet Greta doll nestled in an old candlebox with some greenery.

Rachel's book on a tiny old bench with a silver tree.

Just love the way this birdhouse cupboard looks so cute.

And one of my favorite shelves all decked out.
A white feather tree filled with Wendy Addison glittery ornaments.

I just want to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas from my home to yours.

Victorian Christmas

Valerie, one of our favorite customers was gracious enough to send us some pictures of her Christmas decorating. Many of her vignettes are from the Cottage Garden.

A garden clouche has transformed into a wonderful Christmas niche.

This picture looks like it came right off the page of Romantic Homes.

Same with this one. Oh so beautiful!!!!

Thank you Valerie for sharing your pictures with us. Great job of decorating!!!

A Peek Into a Vintage Christmas

One of the Cottage Garden girls, Pauline is letting us peek into her house of vintage inspired Christmas decorations.

Even her bathroom mirror has been embellished for Christmas.

Complete with a Christmas tree filled with decorations.

As we stepped into her living room at every turn there were so many wonderful Christmas treasures. Many are of Cottage Garden of past years.

In her kitchen even a tall shelf was all decked out.

A feather tree in her dining room was filled with many ornaments made of mercury glass. Check out the cool spool cabinet with great porcelain knobs. This vignette is a feast for the eyes. It is all atop a great white vintage sideboard.

On top of her armoire is a collection of snowmen and a goose.

Among a grouping of family pictures is a sweet little snowman. You guessed it from our favorite local artist Lynne (the pumpkin lady).......

In her living room Pauline has a collection of vintage inspired snowmen and Santas. Wow!!! that is a fantastic pink tree....

As you get ready to leave the house this darling table is filled with bottle brush trees and gingerbread houses (from our favorite metal company Round Top).
Do you recognize the snowman bottle? I made a few of those for last Christmas. Just no time this year to make any, maybe next year.

What a wonderful chandelier hanging over the dining room table and of course it was just screaming to have a few angels hanging from it.
Hope you have enjoyed a peek inside Pauline's house.
