Spring in Bloom!!!!

With all the rain we've had everything is blooming like crazy. At home in the front of our house there is a Lady Banks trailing rose bush. Well it is as loaded with blooms as I have ever seen and has grown right up the tree it was planted under to about 30 feet high. It looks like the tree is blooming. Quite amazing.......
At the front of the shop by the street there is this absolutely gorgous rose blooming.

And the finally the talk of all the customers coming up my walkway. What is that growing by your sign. It is such an unusual looking plant. And on and on. Well it is.......

An articoke plant. And we have three articokes growing up the center. I have had this plant for a few years and it has never gotten this big and produced articokes. I am sure with all the rain we have had it has received a lot of natural nutrients. Ahh the wonders of nature.........

New Finds!

Had the urge to decorate at home with my new finds from Jodi's Junque who participated in our French Market.
Love Love this great bench with the baskets underneath. This ended up on the landing of my stairway.

This really cool robins egg blue table fit right in with the bedroom that I had decorated last fall. There was a blank wall area that just had to have the perfect piece. Found it at the French Market and it fit just right. Then of course had to find lots of goodies to finish it up right.......

Also purchased this great black chair, which ended up in the shop. It is nestled into our vintage room at the back of Cottage #2. Just couldn't fit it into my house or I would have taken this home too. So ladies its for sale if anyone decorates in the french inspired look. It is really a cool piece.

Hopefully Jodi is busy finding more treasures to tempt us with. Let you know when more is on the way.......

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was the first day of Spring and my birthday. I was born in Philadelphia, Penna. and every year my mom tells me their was a snow blizzard on the day I was born. I have always loved flowers and gardening, I guess it was a good thing being born on that day........

More Spring At the Cottage

As we get closer to the first day of Spring and my favorite time of the year. The grass seems greener, the birds are singing more and the sky is so blue. And before we know it that dreaded 100 degrees is going to be here. But in the meantime Cottage I is just brimming over with lots to brighten up your garden and get ready for that first day of Spring. So let's enjoy why we live in Arizona and feel so sorry for all those that are still shoveling snow. Ahhh.....

Love these mirror garlands to hang in the garden. They reflect the sun and the reflections dance over the ground.

Just got in these funky flowers. The bottoms are rocks so they will go anywhere in the garden.

You can even bring Spring indoors. Garden style decorating is so much the rage......

This little guy is another fun item from the Roundtop Collection!

More things to brighten up the garden!

What a cool butterfly.

And fun kites all made of metal.....

HAPPY SPRING!

Spring in Bloom!

Spring is busting out all over at the Cottage Garden. The Spring collection from Round Top has arrived. We spent 2 days unpacking and decorating inside and out with all the wonderful garden pokes. The outside of the shop looks like a page out of Alice in Wonderland!!!!!

Magnet dragonflys here there and everywhere......
Adorable metal snails peeking out of the grass.

Lots and lots of funky flowers to brighten up the garden.

We even have metal seed packet pokes. Just too cute.

These funky mushrooms to brighten any corner of the garden......

Can you believe all these flowers are made from metal.

Cute pink poppies.....

Dragonflys buzzing around a hyrangea plant.

We even got in these really cute chalkboard stands. Can sit anywhere and say anything. Think out of the box......

Great for an outdoor table this sign with little viles to add fresh flowers. Also have the word bloom and grow.
There are more new items coming so I will be posting lots of new goodies....

Paris in Spring, Oh so much FUN!

Our 2nd annual Paris in Spring French Market and Sidewalk Cafe was a wonderful success. The sky was blue and there was a hint of warmth in the air. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Thank you rain for taking the day off!!!!!!!

Our sidewalk cafe was enjoyed by about 90 people. They all seemed to be having a lovely time. So many wonderful conversations being shared among the guests.

We had a mime entertaining while everyone was eatting their lunch. I think he wanted these ladies to share.

Heather posing with one of our regular customers CeCe.

Just a beautiful day......

In the side yard of the shop we had a French Market set up. We had vintage finds, blinged bra straps (Ohhlala), tutu for little girls. And a wonderful bakery that was selling french bagettes, and sourdough rolls. Boy were they yummy.......Took home three loaves and they are all gone.

Jodi from Jodi's Junque. I purchased a few things from her. I will show you what I did with my treasures from her in a later post.

Jim from Capistrano Bakery in Tempe. This is where the bagettes came from and they also supplied the breads for the sidewalk cafe.

Cute Miss Minnie and her adorable clothes that she makes. We all had to purchase one of her great purses, couldn't resist.......

Terry and Jackie busily making more things for customers to choose from.

Colorful tutus

What a great day. Thank you everyone for coming out and making the day such a success.

Yesterday we were on Channel 10. We were advertising our Paris in Spring weekend that is coming up March 6th and 7th..... Early in the morning we started getting our props together.

The girls Cheryl, Valerie and Linda waiting for Channel 10 to arrive. Took a moment to get a photo op.
