Boxes Came Next!!!!

After ordering in the showrooms the next thing in the progression of merchandise to the shops is truckloads of boxes. Unfortunately or fortunately when you order at the gift shows you don't realize that merchandise has to come to the shop, get unpacked, priced and displayed in the shops. These are boxes that were ordered in June in Dallas and arrived the day before we were leaving for Atlanta. Our furry children aka the guard dogs watching over the boxes.
Here is items that were unpacked and vignetted at #2 shop. We again have given it a very French vintage inspired look. Quite beautiful if I do say so....

We got in wood panels that look so old. These have beautful roses painted on them. One of our favorite new items.
The majority of the new product ended up at shop #1. The front two rooms are almost all new product. It has a very naturey theme that is so popular right now. Lots of bird pictures, arbors with birds, bird pillows, bird houses, and bird baths......

This metal butterfly bench is wonderful.....
This clock looks old but is new.

Birdbaths, birdhouses and a birdcage lamp all nestled under an arbor. And of course lots of flowers.

We just got in a shipment of new Kelly Rae Roberts prints, along with magnets and bookmarks for all you Kelly Rae collectors. Her new prints are so sweet....
New angel statuary has come in too.

Something we all need in our homes is this new metal sign.... Sorry Martha fans!!!!!!!

Atlanta Showrooms...

I thought you might enjoy a brief tour of our trip through showrooms in Atlanta. This is where it all starts before it ends up in the shops........

This darling bunny bench will be arriving at the shop at the beginning of May along with some other pieces from this booth.

These are cool letter tiles that will be at the shop hopefully next week. She displayed them on a chalkboard wall, so guess who thinks that is a good idea to do at the shop. Love this gals stuff. It is also american made, which is a good thing.....

We went nuts in this showroom. It is called Peacock Park and oh so Frenchy. They were even playing French music which really puts you in the mood to order. Don't know when it is coming but can't wait!!!!!!

Another fun showroom. We just got a large order in from them that we had ordered last June but of course they enticed us with some new products.

Love the prisms hanging from the ceiling. This showroom was packed with shop owners ordering like crazy. We got right in the middle of it and also ordered more.

Love this birdcage but haven't ordered yet. Don't you think the finches would love this for their home at the Cottage Garden?

Love this sweet cabinet with all the flower drawers.

We also got a pic of Marie Osmond, who was in a showroom talking about her new line of purses.....

Here are a few pics of Valentines' that I ordered and will be here by the weekend. It is really great fun stuff.

There is lots of new merchandise at the shops so hope you can all stop by soon to see it. I will post pics of the shops in the next few days of all the goodies arriving. We have been unpacking fools to get it into the shops...

Glendale All Aglow!

Last Saturday night was the Glitter and Glow. It is the last night all the Christmas lights are on at the park and along the streets. It brings thousands of people. Our streets are closed off and hot air balloons are lined down the middle of the streets. The pictures are a little dark, ok a lot dark but maybe you can get the idea. It really is the most magical night of the whole year.

You can bearly see the outline of the hot air balloon.

Coming soon I will post pictures of all the new merchandise that has already arrived. The shops are looking so beautiful....... Hope everyone can make it in soon. We have been working so hard.

We're Home !!!!

We had an unexpected delight when we were at the Atlanta Gift Show. It snowed , yes in Atlanta and while Pauline and I were there. Those are snow flurries in the picture below. It was so special to see snow for us desert girls.....

We stopped right in front of our hotel to take this pic with all the little snowflakes all over us. It was freezing cold but we were acting like a couple of little kids. Slip sliding in the snow.......

It was a winter wonderland outside our hotel.

Pauline warming up in the hotel room after our romp in the snow. We went to the deli for a cup of hot tea....

On Saturday night we met some of the artists associated with Bethany Lowe Designs.

Pauline with another artist from the Bethany Lowe Deisgns.

This is Bethany Lowe. They were all promoting their Halloween collection, and were all dressed for that occasion.

We were also priviledged to meet Kelly Rae Roberts. We carry her prints at the shop. She has designed many new ones that we should have at the shop soon......
I got a big hug from Teena Flanner, she was such a nice person. I have been a fan of hers for years. She makes the sweetest ornatments.

A picture of the city of Atlanta from the window at the Atlanta Mart....

A picture from our seat on the plane when we were heading back to Phoenix.
Next post I will be showing you some of the showrooms we ordered from...... Can't wait to get the merchandise in the shops.

Baby It's Cold Out There!!!!!!!

We have been in Atlanta for three days. It has snowed and we have felt what -2 degrees feels like. It hits your face and stings. We braved the cold and walked back to the hotel the first day. But it was so slippery from the snow freezing we decided to be wussy and take the shuttle......

We did have fun on the first night it snowed we walked in the snow flurries and wrote our names in the 2 inches of snow. What a thrill for desert girls......

We have shopped hard and have found fabulous things for Christmas 2010. And at amazing prices..... I will post some pictures when I get home.

We also have found some great things that are shipping within the next few weeks. Great vintage inspired things and some fun fun garden stuff.......

We are here for 2 more days and who knows what else we will find. We have two more appointments for Christmas ordering and a whole building we haven't even
covered.

Ahhhh the thrill of the hunt!!!!!!!!! Will post lots of pics when I get home.....
Girls get ready your gonna love the new things coming.......

Off to First Buying Trip of the year!

We are getting ready for our first buying trip of the year. We will be ordering Christmas for 2010.... But first things first. We had to have a pedicure because a girl has to have nice looking feet for the trip even though it is in the 30's in Atlanta and we will be wearing boots the whole time.
This is Sandra with Pauline, she is so good, if you want some true pampering go see her.
Our toes look so good. The massage is the best part and feels so good, but the nail polish is fun.

We will be off on Wednesday morning into the wild blue yonder. If we get a chance and have enough energy at night after walking and ordering for about 12 hours I will try to blog what exciting things we have found.
Just a reminder: The shop will be closed on January 6th and 7th.
Open January 8th and 9th, closed January 10-11-12.
We will open on January 13th when we get back from trip.
See you then, stop in and see what great things we brought back.

Happy New Year!

We have spent our last six new year's day with other members of the car club that hubby belongs too. Each year we all take a drive to the top of South Mountain. The members are part of the Arizona Rotary and Mazda car clubs. The speed limit says 15 mph on curves, yea right!!!!!!

Starting up the mountain.... Lots and lots of curves and a few screams from moi.....

Finally to the top for the spectacular views, and lots of bees........

The yellow RX-7 belongs to Tim, the club president. It is so cute!!!!!

A cactus wren bird joined the group.

And swooped down to take a closer look at hubby's black RX-8, named Bruce. The drive was his payback for all his hard work pitching in during the Christmas season, given his bah humbug nature.
