Halloween !!!!!!

It took awhile but Halloween is finally done at #1 shop. And if we do say so ourselves it looks so GOOOOOD!!!!!!!! We have pumpkins, skinny leg kids, spiders and even spider web doilies. We opened at least 50 boxes last week and now it is all ready for all those who have been patiently waiting.

The boxes are empty and the room is full....

These mercury glass tonic bottles are the coolest...... and will fit right in with your Halloween vignettes!

Of course we have plenty of pumpkin pokes from our fav Roundtop Collection.....

The fall birds are also from Roundtop......

The eyes are looking at you......

There are spider webs (made of wire) everywhere.

The witch parked her mode of transportation right at our front door.

There will be more pics of Halloween in the days to come. We will be off to pick more of the handmade pumpkins from our local artist in a few days so you will be seeing those real soon on the blog. You can almost feel the cool in the air, ahhhh is almost FALL!!!!!!!

Dog Days of Summer!

This Friday Night is our 3rd Friday night so we are open late till 9pm. We are having a dog days of summer evening. Bring your doggies for a parade starting in the park at 58th Ave and Glendale. And end up at Papa Ed's Ice Cream Shoppe for a frosty paw treat for all the furry participants.....

There will also be a pet boutique at Papa Ed's to benefit Sun Valley Animal Shelter. So come on out with your furry friends and enjoy a night of shopping and benefitinga good cause. (Just because we are all animal lovers at heart and really need to help all these poor animals)...... thank you to all.....

To help us get the word out about dog days of summer evening Cory from Channel 10 was out at Papa Ed's yesterday....

Many little critters got their moment of fame on TV.......

There is even going to be dog aura pictures and readings at the Astrology shop on Glendale Ave...... Super cool to see what aura your pet has.....

Ok what does socks have to do with dogs. Absolutely nothing. We just returned from an ordering trip in Los Angeles for #2 shop..... And ordered lots of fun socks..... Lucky magazine is showing socks and more socks as the must have accessory.... They will be here in a few days.

Just had to show you the view out of our hotel room window. The flowers in California are just so gorgeous. And there was dancing water too. Didn't get to enjoy it as much as would have liked to because we were so busy ordering lots of new clothing and accessories for shop #2 for fall and winter....
Yes fall is right around the corner and we will be wearing socks and sweaters and scraves real soon. Yea!!!!!!!!
We are also busy at shop #1 getting out fall and halloween and I will post some pics in the next few days.

San Francisco Buying Trip!

I took Connie and Heather on my buying trip to San Francisco last weekend. Pauline stayed home and held down the fort, thanks Pauline!!!!!
The other girls have not gone on a buying trip with me soooooo this was a whole new experience for them. They kept up with me just fine. Because when I get going I can really move to fit it all in in just a few days.

We were all bright eyed and bushy tailed on our morning flight.......

The girls were so anxious to see me make my first purchase that they needed a photo of it. Really girls!!!!!
We took a day off from the gift show and attended the Alameda Flea Market. What an experience. We got there at 7am and it was foggy and freezing but so much fun. By noon it was sunny and packed wall to wall with people.

Before you knew it our four days were over and the luggage was packed and we were ready to put our luggage in storage and have a few hours of play before the plane home.

We stayed at a brand new hotel and it was absolutely beautiful. Very convenient too since it was right across the street from the Moscone where the gift show was being held......

Every morning I went to get us all coffee at my fav!!!!!!

On our few hours of play the last day we walked down Market Street to the Ferry Building. These gorgeous hollyhooks and pansies where planted in front of an office building.

At the end of Market Street was the clock tower and the Ferry Building, we stopped and ate lunch there in an outdoor cafe. Fish and chips of course!!!

We stood by the bay with the Bay Bridge in the background.....

These old trolleys were running everywhere, we were going to take one but it was just too beautiful so we walked......

And that was our trip a little work and a little play. There will be new things at the shops by the weekend. I am now busy pricing......
